I hate waiting for people. Looks like closing is Friday morning the 9th. I got the cable and elec starting in the new place on mon-tues. I reserved 2 moving vans. My BIL is flying in probably Thursday. Getting rid of some furniture today.
Where I was impatient before, I am now scared and overwhelmed. So I have a few paperwork thangs to do , a med thing, and a bloodwork thing and my brain is not doing anymore. Time to take a backseat. Get chickens ready and that's that.
RE agent and cleaning people. This has all gotten expensive!
Now get this. Those sellers are closing on Friday, but can't get the shed emptied until Monday. It's only been 34 days since contract! What do people think? I can't imagine.

I swear, even smooth moving is hell. I still have to paint an area in the hot tub, and finish the shower pipe in the bathroom. Just tedious things. And I have to condition my saddle! It was at the barn and got covered with mold which I sprayed the whole thing with vinegar so it needs to be conditioned. Just more tedious. Hang curtains back up.
And I hope all the chickens fit in the back of my pickup. If not, some will be riding with me in the cab! Oh joy!

I had Dundee riding shotgun and he was crowing most of the time. It was fun at stop lights with everyone around me looking at the crowing rooster lol. That was my mean buddy Dundee, mad as hell lol.

Let's see. I have Roxanne dog riding shotgun with plenty of Dramamine. Chickens in the bed. Mule on the trailer. Makes for an interesting trip. Since I am more awake during the night, I will probably start out at night after MN. I don't want to get there in the dark.
I'm getting that cold feet feeling. I hate hate hate leaving my house, but love the thought of dark green grass as far as I can see. I hate my conveniences, but I'll need new ones. Town is 3 miles away and the big stores and chains are another 2 miles. I do 90% of my shopping and business on line. I need to find new docs.
There's a lot to do on the "new" 100 yr old house. New water heater and heating/ac system, gutters, a few loose bricks and chimney caps. The rest can wait. The kitchen and cabinets are true yellow! Ick. Will have to take care of that. I will have Direct tv, but the area does not have cable internet. So, thru MetroPCS cell phone I can get a "hot spot" for the house and use it just like wifi. I've tried it out with my phone and it works. I spent 3 hours last night on my phone hotspot with no problem.
I'm so brain fried and tired. I'm down to throwing the odds and ends in boxes. I have to move some chicken equipment up front for shipping. I'm looking for a shipping company for my horse.

I'm really to the point of throwing things in boxes. I have my plan on what I need to take, medical, tools, bowls, water , corn, and the dog and stuff. And some temp fencing.
Closing is at 2pm today. My BIL is arriving to drive one truck. I am a wreck. I hate moving. But at least it's keeping my mind super busy. I want someone to just put me in a corner and take care of everything. HUBS is ready for a wheel chair, but in denial. Which means he really can't do anything but needs to be treated like he can. I haven't even said goodbye to my parents yet. Maybe dinner tomorrow.
I haven't even put this house up for sale yet!

I can't find an outdoor faucet. I can't imagine that there isn't one! Maybe because they freeze in the winter?

I did find it. I went in the cellar with a flashlight and followed the line. I must be blind because it was right there, out for all to see. I really got lucky with the "cat"- now chicken pens in the shed. It's perfect. Then there's a white shed here that actually has stalls in it! Much less work for me. But i'm thinking a few yards of sand as a base.
Moving is alot of work. I would not do it again. I can't find anything even tho I packed so I could. I still have to sell the house in florida.

my daughter came over today and we worked on putting things away. de cluttering is hard work. then remembering where the stuff is put away. my grandson spent the night Saturday. we took him to a Mexican restaurant. Then hubs played a few games of chess with him. Then we played monopoly. OMG! After 3.5 hours I called it quits. Then he says to me "can we play Life tomorrow?" I said no.
I got electric (cord) and a hose back to the coop. So makes things easier. I'm still working on removing overgrowth back there and putting up temp fencing. I need to enlarge the "kitty doors" to chicken doors in the coop. I need to call someone and have 2 large branches removed, and a really old aluminum shed.
The farmer lives sortof up on a hill across from the cow pastures. But he puts their hay near us in a pasture. It's really great because any time something new happens, the cows line up at the fence to see what's going on. Too cute!

If you get a chance Karen, post some pics of the cows at the fence, that would be cool to see. A few pics of your "new coop" set up would be cool too, but I know you're busy. "Monopoly," one of my favorite games, havnt played it in years. "Chess," I'm not good at, your grandson could beat me.

The worst so far is I tried to make an appointment with a (specialized) doctor. They asked for a referral. I said why do I need a referral? They said they couldn't make me an appt. without a referral from my primary. I said my primary never made a referral for me. So I kept throwing things at them like "I'm in pain" etc. and she (receptionist) says "I'm hanging up now"
So I decided to go to the next phone number. That receptionist had some heart and made me an appt and actually changed it to be sooner. She then asked me to get my files. But I have to go in for that and sign a release. What a contrast!!!
I met with a contractor to fix some dippy parts in the floor and put down pergo. Then me and daughter went and picked out some. I still have a lot of crap to put away outside and inside. And some new routine pathways (?) . It's 45 degrees today and chickens are fine. I managed to enlarge one coop chicken door for them.
