hey Sylie i remember you said you like microwaving a chicken with no sauce or anything lol. do you marinate it before or nah? generally no, I don't marinate it or anything, just stick it in there on a plate and eat it when it's done. Usually it's a breast, I don't like dark meat as a general rule and it sometimes gets weird in the microwave so I stick to breasts when I'm plain microwaving

Funny, over the years I've "realized" that non microwave food taste better. In fact if I have tea the water is boiled in a small pan instead of the microwave. Maybe some of it is imagination. Maybe it's true.

I have to agree somewhat Sem. but sometimes, it just doesn't matter enough lol I don't microwave anything with water either (coffee, tea etc), that definitely has a weird taste, always a tea kettle for me.

Upper 20's and lower 30's so we are really happy now lol. I just hope this means spring is coming.

Here is my beautiful almost adult African. She’s called chattySomething about her profile reminded me of a school headmistress I used to have - Ms. Edwards, a lovely woman. She always looked so calm and composed - quite the undertaking with a school full of brats! You goose is beautful - I wish I could persuade my other half to have geese, but I know my limits....

I have left the blanket off the horse and heat off the birds for tonight. 40's. If it's 50's and 30's I'll be happy.

Chickens are finally without heat. Hope it stays that way. Should be 70 in a day or two. Spent yesterday cleaning the coop. It took so long with so many trips with the mule that I used 1.5 bags of shavings instead of 2.5. I've just been using too much. Especially when over half perch at night.
Today I have the barn. 5 days of horse manure. I've been sick with a virus so have not been able to get out there and things just build up so rapidly. Amazing what one horse can put out. Not looking forward to all the work today.

Yesterday I gutted the barn, especially a stall that was filled with hub's stuff that he hasn't looked at in months and he is in denial about him using it in the future. Last week he just said to "throw it all out" , so I separated out the stuff that I am sure he won't be using (he can't walk very well) so I doubt he'll be making furniture. So I lined the stuff up on the side of the barn and told him and said to let me know if there's something to keep in there. Well of course, I'm watching tv at near midnight and he comes and wants to talk about how what I did was on purpose to hurt him!!!!! Then he smirks like he "knows what I'm up to". ( ), like I'm doing it just to piss him off. I can't win. He wants a carport to put some of his junk, er, tools and stuff on . First he wanted a tent. "No!!!!" And I would really hate to see a pile of stuff sitting under a carport. I asked him what about a shed? He scoffed at that mainly because he's always broke and/or expects me to jump up and pay for it as usual. But I'm tired of paying for everything when I don't know what the heck he squanders his money on. I also reminded him of all the accommodating I've done to make things easier for him and his disability and medical problems. I think he forgets how much I have done to make things easier on him. Maybe we're suffering from retirement syndrome. I am outside like 4-5 hours a day. But aside from his morning run to Walmart he's home 24/7 and I get no other break from him being gone doing something. Maybe I'm whining for nothing. Maybe I'm just needing a Calgon bath!

Tonight's my big cheer me up and enjoy "Chicago Med, Fire, and PD", emphasis on Chicago Fire. One of the very few things I look forward to.

Vent away Sem, we are here for you! I don't know your situation so I really can't say much but just don't let him run over you and certainly don't let him make you feel bad about this stuff. If he wants his stuff, he needs to find a way to do something with it or get rid of it...this is definitely just my opinion. I really don't have a right to tell anyone how to handle their spouse, I'm not doing such a great job myself but it's just my thoughts on the situation. Just don't let him get to you.

Maybe he needs a 2x4 in the back of the head as a 'wake up' call! Sadly, many disabled people become depressed and manipulative b/c they are unhappy, they don't see the sacrifice of others...

Very true. He got a verbal 2x4 in the back of the head. I am now learning to be less accommodating where I shouldn't have to. Like turning off the living room light when he's in bed, Now he'll be told close the door, buy earplugs or eye shields.
I can't.
