I just picked up these month old African Browns so now my 1 year old will have companions again since something got my other one last Spring.   |

It's possible they're Canada geese or a cross between them and African brown. These didn't come from the Amish guy I got the others from,none of his eggs hatched. These geese came from his brother that have African Browns too but there's also a wild Canadian goose that practically lives there and the guy said it was gone for a day or 2 and might have been breed. His African Browns have been raising them though. When they're young they look a lot alike but from what I'm reading and a few things I see on them it's possible they are Canadian geese,he wasn't sure. They have black feet like the Canadians and African Browns have dark orange to brownish orange. I guess I'll see once they get bigger.

I let them out into the yard yesterday with the rest of them and they followed my 1 year old gander around like he was their mommy. He kept try to out run them but the faster he'd go the faster they'd go  ,he finally before the day was over acted like they were his kids.  |

They were the ones I should have kept. They got along with the chickens well. The other 4 did not and I had to separate them from the chickens.

444lover, I have an aged brain. Can you tell me about yourself again? Well what do you want to know? I live in the house I grew up in,bought my brother and sisters out when dad died. We have 3 acres of land,about 1/3 acre pond the way I measure it anyway,and I use to go by the name squirrelhunter but got banned and had to change my name and email to start a new account on the old site and a few others owned by that company. I was a mod on a couple of the gun forums. I don't own and never have owned a 444 but was trying to get ahold of a guy on those forums that went by four4d4 and figured he'd be more apt to reply to my PM's if I had a name about like his. I've been married 3 times and my 2nd wife died a few years ago. I love hunting and anything involving guns,fishing, trapping,just a good old country boy  . Anything else you want to know,just ask. |
