My black female is slowly failing, she wasn't able to make it into the coop tonight so I carried her in, something she doesn't usualy care for.

I'm sorry Boskelli. I know how painful it was to come to the realization that I had Marek's. Devistating! I do understand. I was going thru the realization of Marek's with a few other members at the time. One had invested a few thousand dollars in rarer chicks that infected her chicks as well. She culled over 50 chicks. She had a large property and managed to start over in a new area far from her old coop. There was really not much written about backyard Marek's at the time, and the few of us started to put out some Valid information about Marek's and the backyard flock.
Sometimes it's an opportunity to put valid information together about an illness as well as first hand information. These Shag.... and chicken chick sites are not passing on true researched bona fide information.
It would be an excellent time to put together some facts and latest info about mg or respiratory ailments that can pass thru an egg.

Since I do enjoy writing for the blog, I may put something educational together - but not for the blog (getting tired of no credit for my work). I will put together a roadmap and will be seeking personal experiences plus reference material. Not before Christmas tho'
