I guess the polar vortex is over for us, thankfully! It was 51 here today, sun came out off and on. The ducks and chickens got to go outside and they were so very happy! Everything is melting away, it will be nice to see the ground for a day or two before more snow comes next week.

Me too. It was 50's today. I ran the hose and cleaned all the buckets and refilled them. It should be 50-60 all week. Okay by me.

Well, this year I'm going to work on the principle that winters weather won't improve and may get worse, so I will be insulating coops etc through the year. Gla everybody survived the cold |

Low 50's with sprinkles and some fog. It was a perfect morning to worm my birds. They didnt like getting yanked off the roosts at 5:30am to get wormed lol.

60 and warm. I let the hens out for a bit while i was outside.

We are out of the 2 day warm up, sad! I woke this morning to 43 degrees and by noon it was 23. Supposed to get down to 16 tonight. Tomorrow we are due for 2/3 of an inch of ice with an inch of snow on top of it (this is spread out from Tuesday noon to Wednesday night) Yesterday all of the snow (most of it) melted away and turned the duck/chicken yard into mud, there is one spot over by the duck coop that literally, no joke, sucked my tennis shoe right off my foot. It's all frozen over now though mwahahaha!

Ice storm last night left us with dangerous roads and ice skating in the duck yard, the ducks were hilarious trying to walk on it, I eventually put them in the covered run where they had traction, I didn't want them to slip a tendon or anything.

We might have record highs today in the low 80's, but back in the freezer this weekend. Yesterday was nice and warm and I got alot of yard work completed along with a few other nitnoid special projects. I'm going to throw a couple steaks on the grill this afternoon, yummy!

I guess I fit right in with mud mud mud and temps going from 60's to 20 tonight. since it was 60 when I put the animals away, so I left the chickens and horse ready for me to blanket the horse and turn the heat on in the coop. with flashlight,

We had 10 for a high today, supposed to go down to zero tonight but things are looking up temperature wise for the next 2 weeks, the trade off is we are supposed to get a ton of snow and freezing rain. When is this crap going to end???
