So the temp actually did drop from 60 to 17 degrees. It stayed around 20 all day yesterday and is 24 right now. The chickens are fine. I spent about an hour in the coop with them yesterday. 25 degrees outside and 50 degrees in the coop with the heater.
Dawg, from what I've heard this year has been unusually wet.The stall my horse was in was soaked all the time. So I moved her into the next stall where it stays dry. I think regardless of the weather I have to get started on the 3 doors I have left.
Aside from the rain, I am pretty sure the weather here matches NY/NJ. Relief in March, April buds forming, Trees getting leaves.

Dawg - Most years we are done with the near freezing temps in the first part of April. Snow is usually done mid part of March. Just another month or 6 weeks and we'll be good to go. I am already thinking about planting...

They said we were going to get 6 inches of snow this afternoon/evening. Haven't seen a single flake. It's been rain...lots and lots of rain, we are already having ice problems, this is going to make it worse I think. On the bright side though, it's not SNOW hahaha

Mix. Flurries, lots of rain. I had a nice view of a bottom of a hill where the cows are, and this morning there was a large pond with geese in it! There's so much 30's to 50's and rain I am looking at 4 wheel drive.

We ended up with all rain yesterday which of course froze on the trees/cars/roads etc. We have so many branches down it's ridiculous. We've been trying to clean up all day but it's hard to pick up branches when they keep falling on your head! (literally, I had branches fall on me twice) I'm ready for spring!
Dawg...shush with your 85 hahahaha!

I've driven my current 4x4 in mud and it did very well, but I wasnt going bogging neither. It drives extremely well on the beach, it cuts through loose sand like a hot knife through butter. I'm very pleased with it.

Your life is more important than a yard full of fallen/falling branches. 85 yesterday with a/c on and tonight down to low 30's with heater on lol. I was even discussing fishing yesterday with my neighbor, yeah right!

Well I hope I did the right thing and bought a 4 wheel drive plus sized down from a full size pickup to a Colorado. I hope I did the right thing trading in a gorgeous truck for a 4x4. I'm sure it's gorgeous too but there is nothing to not love about my truck except that it's bad on ice-no weight in the back. And it's hilly here with wind-y roads. Okay I have to quit crying in my soup. I also need a spot to fish -I'm a catch and release person but it's a thrill anyway.

I quit after the 2nd one hit me, I am planning to do the rest tomorrow, all of the wind is gone now and we had a little thawing going on so the ice is less heavy. Thanx for the concern!

Daughter says "Mom what do you need 4 wheel drive for? You don't go anywhere" She's right.
Looks like no storms in the immediate future. Hope it gives the ground time to drain.

ME, maybe you need a 4 wheel drive lol. Speaking of 4 wheel drive, I did a little muddin' in my 4x4 today up in Georgia. It was fun but had to take it to the car wash when I got back to Jacksonville.
