I've seen that, thanks.I've come to a conspiracy theory(at least I admit it LOL)and it's the NWO planning an extraterrestrial alien invasion if SHTF.They're going to have to do something really big to distract the sheeple.I can see the panic and horror now.Last night there were 7 that I counted.2 had a faint blinking light next to them and one looked like it had something near it with blue and red blinking lights. They are much brighter and larger than the stars and I've seen them move but they pretty much stay in the same position even as the rest of the sky goes through it's cycle.I've had a few weeks to think about it.The guns are loaded and strategically placed, the geese are on night patrol and if "they" do get close,I recently got a new toy/weapon,a million volt stun flashlight.I'm not sure how it feels,no one will let me test it on them, but it makes you jump when turned on.$10,looks really intimidating and has a little weight to it so I can at least hit 'em over the head with it.I ain't going down without a fight!!!And the worst part,it's a true story!!!

We're having a "popup" storm that grew huge and it's thundering out and starting to rain. It got much cooler out too.

We had 98 and high humidity today, tons of brutal sunshine and I spent the day cooking homemade chicken and noodles (don't tell my girls, it freaks them out!!) and then at the campground with my family. It was so hot even in the shade.

Sylie. That's brutal heat along with the humidity. When it gets that hot here, or hotter, I turn the fans on in the pens for the chickens. They plop themselves down in front of the fans and stay there most of the day. I also turn the fans on inside the coops, medium speed at night with the airflow blowing out the vent. Around noontime, I bring them a container of cold water filled with ice, they love that. The ice melts in the heat but at the end of the day, the water is still cool to drink. Our summer is just getting started. The rains have kept the temps down in the low 90's. Once everything clears out, at least we'll get a cooling sea breeze in the late afternoon.

I do those same things for my girls lol, great minds huh? I will also use my watering can to soak the ground in their run, make some puddles, it keeps their feet cool. I have also taken a ring mold, filled it with watermelon, canteloupe, mealworms, corn and water, frozen it and let them pick at it, it gives them something to do, it's a self serve treat and cools them off.

I'll swap you our rain for your first born. I could use some help keeping up with the yard with all the rain we're having.

I got some new pictures today while hiking in the woods but I can't upload them because they are too big, if I crop them, you lose the effect I wish the file size wasn't so dang small! Does anyone know a way around that 1 MB limit?

Pouring rain and thunder 6/19. The guys showed to take more wood away and haven't come back yet. Surprise storm so I had to run out and let the chickens back to the coop and cover the mule and the guy's chain saw.

We had rain today, omg what a relief! the temperature was decent at 79, we had only a little thunder, no wild winds with the storms (we had 2 separate storms) After the main part of the storm passed we had gentle rain for about 2 hours, it was so amazing!

CQ. I usually dont work outside from noon to 7pm. Without rain; 11am-8pm, but sometimes I push it to noon. Always have to shower coming back inside. I end up taking 2 or 3 showers a day. I get up at 4:30 each morning and start working by 6:15. Chop chop before the heat and humidity gets worse. I'm with you Dawg, I manage to get some outside work done until noonish, then I head inside. Back outside after supper for a few hours. The last few days have been gruelling tho' 90's with humidity to match. I come from a cool, damp country - I can't handle this humidity...

We had another unbelievable deluge this afternoon and the lightning was bad. We lost power for 10 minutes, then again 20 minutes later for about 15 minutes. It's supposed to be mid to upper 90's tomorrow and Friday. Now we're gonna sweat it out for real. The good thing is that I got the yard mowed before the rains! Heheheheh.
