We had another frog choker this afternoon. The whole yard flooded again except the chicken pens. I think we got 3 inches in one hour. The beaches are getting hammered now, alot of thunder and lightning. The weatherguessers are saying 60% chance of rain tomorrow and 70% Friday, Saturday and Sunday. We've had 100% chance of rain every day, our flooded yard is proof, the dingbats!

It's funny you mentioned that lol. I told my wife I'm glad we have a boat just in case lol. Nah, our soil is saturated with water from all the rains we've had for the past month and a half. I think we've had only 4 or 5 days WITHOUT rain during that period of time.

Yea you seemed to get slammed quite often. My downpours make huge puddles that disappear in 10 minutes or less.

Heat and humidity have returned.I can't do anything outside between 1p-7p because the sun is so brutal,it literally drains me.I had to switch up my routine to avoid it.Anybody else notice how intense the sun is this year?Or maybe it's just me and I aged more than I thought this last year......

Yesterday we had t storms (I think I mentioned that on the garden thread or somewhere... We never even hit 62, I think the high was 60. Today, brutal sun and on it's way to 95 WTH? I don't think that it's you, I have noticed the sun feeling far more brutal this year than in the past, but then again, I'm aging pretty quickly too.

CQ. I usually dont work outside from noon to 7pm. Without rain; 11am-8pm, but sometimes I push it to noon. Always have to shower coming back inside. I end up taking 2 or 3 showers a day. I get up at 4:30 each morning and start working by 6:15. Chop chop before the heat and humidity gets worse.

I'm a noodle brain. At the hottest parts of the day I feel the compulsion to go outside and do something.

Late yesterday afternoon after the rains, I started weed eating the front yard and trimming bushes. Thirty minutes later, here comes the rain! Can you believe it? I wish I could send some of this rain out to the left coast where they badly need it.

I live NE of Cinti and SE of Dayton, almost in the middle of them.I have to do my back gardening in the morning before 11 and the front in the late afternoon/early evening when the sun is behind the house.I did everything all day long in the past. This is my 18th summer here and the Sun has never been so brutal.I live in the middle of a field and have lived in SW Ohio all my life, and the Sun as never felt like I was being microwaved before. We have several 90+ degree days coming so they've declared a heatwave emergency. They explained 3 or more 90+ days = a heatwave(I thought you all down in FLA would get a kick out of that!)Remember when I was telling you all about the bright light appearing in the western sky? Here's an update-there are now 4 or more of these lights, depends how cloudy it is, but here's the kicker-when I first saw it the moon was in the eastern sky.Last night, the moon was in the western sky but the bright lights kept their same positions so it's not planetary.I still don't know what they are but it doesn't put the fear of God in me anymore.I've tried to research it but with my limited computer skills, have found nothing.I have heard no one else mention them but I do know other people I point it out to can see them, too,so I'm not hallucinating LOL
