Hahahaha CQ, I get it lol. After the 30 day "fix all" warranty expires, I have a 100,000 mile 5 year warranty on it with $250 deductable. If I take it to CarMax, they take $50 off the deductable. If I take it to the GMC dealer, it's $250. I'm still trying to figure out all the gadgets in the thing.
Did you know that with alot of the new 2018 trucks and cars the engines shut off when you're stopped at a stoplight? Then when the light turns green you take your foot off the brake and the engine starts up and away you go! I would NOT want a vehicle like that! It's supposed to save gas, phooey, how about the excessive wear and tear on the starter and motor? I think there's a disable button for it on the dash, but resets every time the vehicle is shut off and restarted, just got to remember to press the disable button.

What a horrible feature! I would definitely not want a car like that. I can barely remember to take the keys out of the ignition half the time

You and me both!!!Everything is so complicated these days.I don't know what it is but I just can't get the hang of technology.I drive a 2002 and still discover things it can do.I couldn't begin to image what they can do today.

Mine knows when I have something in the 2nd row. If not the doors stay locked automatically. If so the doors unlock when I turn off the truck and it tells me to check the back row.

You mean in the back seat of the truck? I never heard of that! The next thing you know a robot hand will pop out of the glove compartment with Kleenex if you sneeze. Crazy.

Yea. Mine also puts my cell phone on blue tooth so if I get any calls or make any it comes over the radio and the adjustments are on the steering wheel.

I love how all these gadgets simplify your life - but come with a 300+ booklet to explain how they work

Yeah yeah I know lol. I aint selling the boat. Actually the best time to go fishing around here is fall and spring. Yes, I clean and we eat the fish I catch. I cook them outside in a deep fat fryer or bake them. Sometimes I fillet them and put them on the grill in aluminum foil. If I catch alot of fish, I clean them and put them in the freezer. Thanks for reminding me; it's almost the first of the month and it's "fire up the motors time" around here lol.

I went driving around this morning to get the truck to show "discharge" on the gauge, I mustve driven 5 miles and of course it didnt discharge like it did before. I even shut it off and started it up again, all normal. My luck. I took it to CarMax and explained it to the service guy. He said that happens all the time and they'd replace the alternator and harness if needed. He said it's documented in their computer for future reference and will replace it if there's a problem. I left the truck there and they'll call me and let me know.

They checked the whole electrical system and there is nothing wrong. The service manager explained that when the gauge discharges, the alternator recharges the battery. The battery is for starting the vehicle only. It was discharging after they checked it and that's what the service manager explained to me. He offered me a 'loaner' and they'd take the truck to the dealer, but he said the dealer would say the same thing. While the truck was idling, I could see the gauge needle returning to the normal center position. So I suppose he's correct. He explained a few other things to me and stated that if the alternator dies even after the free 30 day warranty, they would still replace it for free and it's documented in the computer which I have a copy of the paperwork. I went back home after that and we went grocery shopping with the truck, no problems.
