You guys are in the oven and we're in the crock pot. It rained this morning just after I mowed the back yard and the meat is falling off my bones.

It rained hard last night. By 8am this morning the front yard was good enough to mow. With clouds building, I managed to get the lawn tractor stuck 3 times on the sides of the ditch out by the street grrrr. I wish I had a 4 wheel drive lawn tractor. As soon as I finished mowing, the rains started. Close call!

Mid-80's but humidly nasty.
People at work when I announced retirement wondered why I wasn't going to move to Florida, since I have relatives there.
It's this. They have it more often and longer than I do up here in MA.
(Part of me wished I'd moved to the Yukon...)

Yeah,I was thinking the same thing but the extreme heat/humidity usually doesn't last too long up here.We finally cooled off for a couple of days.I wonder if the fish are biting.....

48F??? Send it HERE! We had another deluge yesterday, flooded the yard...again. I guess there's no such thing as passing showers anymore.

Dawg - I still have a vision of you running around the yard with a broom chasing the chickens nito the coop....I would be happy to share our cooler weather as long as we can have some of your rain

Mine hide in the coop (just one coop for 5 hens right now). The rest are in covered pens.

I got alot of yard work done yesterday and took a nice cool shower afterwards. Later on I had to drop the tarps around the pens because it started raining...and yes, the weatherguessers said it wouldnt rain, phooey. So, that was my second shower. Since I was soaked from the rain, and I was sweating also, I took a third shower. Then my fourth shower came after I cleaned and locked the birds up for the night at about 9pm. I had a load of laundry to do as well and I took care of it today. I slept good last night too.

It was hot (94) and stuffy outside but around 4 p.m. we got a cool front that dropped it down to 79 and it rained hard, lots of wind, thunder, lightning. After that storm was over we had about an hour where it cleared up and the temp/humidity started going up but now it's thundering again.

We got clobbered yesterday. Looks like it rained 3 inches. It came down so hard that I've had 2 laying nests get wet right thru the tarp. Lightning , thunder, the works. TV shut off 4 times.

According to the radar it looks like we are in for a wild night. I hope we don't lose power.
Sem...JUST your tv went off? Not the power altogether?
