I'm sorry ME. We had a really nice light snowfall (1/2 inch, no wind, just floated down) and 36 degrees. Tomorrow we are expecting an inch (more or less) of rain and 40 degrees. I'm not going to get my hopes up but maybe we are coming out of this winter business soon (crosses fingers)

We got so much rain today it was absurd. Everything is flooded. No joke, the ducks were swimming in a low spot in the yard...seriously!! There is no place to walk without soaking your feet up to your ankles, I changed shoes, socks and pants 4 times today.

There is no place to walk without soaking your feet up to your ankles, I changed shoes, socks and pants 4 times toda Time to invest in a pair of wellies...they save a lot of bother. It's turning into a huge puddle here too. Ground is frozen and can't absorb the water, so the first 1 inch of dirt is mud....not sure if I prefer ice or mud at this point....there ain't no pleasing me

Wellies are great. I get some nice rubber boots off ebay that have saved me a fortune. I am having a major mud problem. Seems like on my circular driveway with 2 entrances from the road, the water runs down from the road, down the driveway and creates a flood under my barn. I wonder if they are liable for any of that?
I'm so tired of mud. If my horse was cleaner, it wouldn't hurt so much.

I'm so tired of mud. If my horse was cleaner, it wouldn't hurt so much. This is what you need for your driveway. I have one and and it works great. I used it last year for the flooding rains we had and it kept water away from the house and I still have it in place for this years rains. www.homedepot.com/p/Quick-Dam-17-ft-Flood-Barrier-QD617-1/203556392It comes in different lengths, I have the one that's 17'. Just to let you know; when mine filled with water it was very heavy to move due to the weight of all the water it absorbed. It can be moved by pulling it aside by one end or the other. I dont know if you can drive over it with a vehicle when it's full of water, but again, you can pull it aside. You have to leave it out in the sun for the water inside it to slowly evaporate, then it's very easy to fold and put away. I had to do that when I mowed the yard, now I just use the weedeater in that small section of yard. If you want flood control or to divert rainwater, this is what you need.

50's today. Lotsa mud. In florida my horse was clean all the time because there was nothing to make her dirty. Now she has mud caked into her hooves and ankles, dry dirt on her body. Should I just expect this to be the new norm? I'm sure I'm not the only one dwelling on the fact that my horse is continuously dirty.

You'll have a clean horse again Hang in there!

We had a big thunderstorm last night. Of course the unintelligent weatherguessers had stated the storms would stay north of the Georgia/Florida border. I guess they have no common sense, storms dont know what borders are...DUH!

We got to 42 today but it was windy and rainy so it really didn't feel much more than 35. It was dreary and miserable. My mom and I went shopping hehe. The ducks chose to play in the flooded yard, water up to their wings, attempting to dive and do the "bullet" swim thing. Funny to watch them.

I watch the wild geese take advantage of all the "ponds" that pop up on the neighbor's property. Yesterday was 50's and I spent the day shoveling horse apples. It took 6 mule-loads to gut the stall. But I'm anticipating getting that water dam today. And try to put up those gutters.

Beautiful 60 degrees today, we had sun this afternoon but the wind has come up so we'll see what happens. I am looking at the wind as a good thing, it's helping to dry up the water and mud.

We'll be getting wind and rain here too. 60 degrees all last night. I guess spring is finally here. I got one side of gutter up. Why do these jobs look so easy and take up a whole day of time? I got my water dam. We should be getting rain today so we'll see.
