it was 52 here today with heavy clouds and some rain this evening. It was miserable lol tomorrow is supposed to be warmer and keep getting warmer over the next few days until we hit the low 80's for 2 days then back down into the 60's. I'll be surprised if we don't all have colds by the time Halloween comes.

Loving the cooler temps - have got a ton of work done outside - I can be dynamic when the weather co-operates

At least I have a nice LL Bean coat that I always used outside for yard work. Warm! I wonder when it gets cold up there?

I would imagine it depends on your definition of cold, You said Indiana right? Most of the time you will want a sweatshirt in mid to end of September, by Halloween you might be looking at winter coat after sunset. Indiana is very similar to southern Iowa where I am. Of course it will also depend on your cold tolerance, which part of the state you're in and the kind of year going on. This year has been really weird with temperatures. We had early heat that lasted FOREVER and now we are having major ups and downs, one day 50, the next 80. In a 24 hour period...it's so weird. By Thanksgiving it would not be weird to have snow on the ground.

A tiny bit cooler outside this morning. I hope this is a sign that more cooler temps are on their way. So far the weatherguessers have been wrong about their forecasts for this week. Last week they were forecasting mid 80's and mid 60's at night for this week and no rain Monday or Tuesday. Wrong again! If it were mid 60's at night, our a/c would've shut off, AND it rained yesterday and the day before (Monday!) I think our weatherguessers are in lala land somewhere, sheesh.

Ok Karen, are you going to get buzzed by hurricane Michael? It's not going to have any effect on us except very slight chance of tornadoes on Wednesday or Thursday.

The hurricane should just "skirt" us north of Tampa. With moving to Kentuckyana , I will surely miss the odd and nasty weather we have here. I've always loved thunder storms.

It's hot and humid outside already this morning. All the weatherguessers said it's going to be in the mid 90's for the next couple of days. For once I believe them

I don't know. I've seen hurricanes suck all the bad weather out with them and you have dry nice days afterwards. The house I'm moving to has oil heat and hot water but all the new homes have the HVAC and a hot water tank, all electric. So I plan on converting and some of the ductwork needs some TLC. It will be nice to have a simple system. I don't like the tank in the ground either. I guess it can be pumped out and filled with dirt or removed.
I have to dig out my only coat and buy some socks.

No problems here during the hurricane. We had off and on rain showers and a little wind, about 25mph. There was a tornado near Gainesville and one near Keystone Heights. A few of them in south Georgia, one near Folkston.
