I am a new chicken-raiser or keeper, depending on terminology. In western Massachusetts.
8 broilers. 11 layers (which is a misnomer as one of the layers is a future rooster...)
All these birds are new. More details later but right now I just want to say hello.

Hello Artemis! I used to live in Mass. but more central than western (Gardner and Hubbardston), my husband was born and raised in Boston, my kids were all born in Mass. lol
Haven't I seen you on BYC? Your name is very familiar.

Sylvie, yes, I usually log into forums as Artemis_MA, but decided to truncate that here.
I'm in the Hilltown region of MA, rather rural for the East coast.
This is my first year raising anything up other than cats. (Of which I live with three. I think they KEEP me, rather than the reverse...)
