I popped over just to see if any stragglers hadn't gotten the message to come here and noticed that CFAdmin did a test post, it worked so I tested it myself and yes, it is working again.

I agree, if you are going to be an administrator then do your job, you can't be absent for weeks at a time or even days at a time, it's a responsibility, real live people are counting on you to do your job. *end rant*
I only mentioned it in case someone had some pics or wanted to pm someone or something like that. I'm staying here, moving is too much work with all the boxes and packing and moving vans and stupid moving guys that don't care about your breakables...oh wait, that's a different thing, NVM! haha

It appears that CF is a sinking ship. It's up to the "group" what you want to do. I think there are 4 of us on here that can address any problems. We have been getting a large number of "viewers" here. I sent google and yahoo our website address so the more posts we get, the closer we get to the top of the searches for the public. I've been contacting infrequent members to let them know we moved.
I just know that I like to be with a bunch of familiar friends that I''ve known for a while.

I just feel bad about the people who are looking for info/help/social and missing out on all the members here. We didn't create this. If cf would hand over ALL the administrator capabilities to me and/or a few others, it would be great. CF still has a "named site" on yahoo and google search and we do not yet. It takes a lot of posts for these search engines to pick us up. I did notify them about our site tho. And I did get one hit on me on cf saying we're all moving, LOL
CF was #2 in membership participation for a while up til now, #1 being BYC. BYC's a good site , one of the best, but many like a smaller closer group and not the anonymity of BYC being one of 100,000 members. And the politics. The politics finally got me to leave. I believe in the same rules for every one, not treating anyone like a child, and not letting my feelings about someone factor into anything, not being Gestapo. And especially being fair. If I can't do that, it's not the place for me.
I'd like us to all stick together if possible. We make a good group. I have to chuckle when I see ME's view count on her hatchings. Most of all I see a good group who's main concern is to help people with their chickens-pure and simple.

I agree with Karen. No telling when CF will crash again. I'm staying here. I hop over to BYC also and help out in the Emergency section only. I try to help those who have the least amount of responses to their thread, unless I read misinformation. I wont respond to a thread I know barely nothing about, such as Marek's disease.

I'm still getting use to navigating this forum but it's getting better.BYC was too big for me and I didn't like it nor do I do FB,Twitter or any of those really big social sites.This is more personal and I think of you as friends,not some faceless idiot in Never-Neverland......

I just discovered here, but if the admins aren't going to be over there in a reliable fashion, I'll only be back to check on one or two threads (the watering one for sure) but will be more over here.

I think those hundreds of posts are what happen when a site gets deserted. It gets taken over by robots, all kinds of fake members. It's sad. It was a good site . But someone stopped paying the bills. |
