It just got to the point I was tired of torturing her with injections and ointment. 7 days of antibiotics and it still stinks and is not getting smaller. I gave her 40 ml of vodka tonight . I hope she's gone in the morning.
Then I see one of my speckled Sussex hunched over with wings down. Obvious pain if you ask me. I picked her up, she's not crop impacted. Then I see some slimy thick yellow secretions on her feathers below her vent. I gave her an internal just in case but her "egg shute" was empty. So I'm thinking egg yolk peritonitis. Nothing I can do. She'll get vodka in the morning. I should have went out there in the evening but tomorrow morning it will be.

It sounds like EYP to me also. I hope you dont have any other problems with anymore birds!

Well #2 died overnight. I should have euthanized her yesterday. I have to go do a complete cleanout back there and air out the coop and wash the buckets. Busy day.
