I just saw this: www.mypetchicken.com/catalog/Chicken-Supplies/No-Crow-Rooster-Collar-p1580.aspxFrankly, I wouldn't want to give my roosters one of these. But in my case, my neighbors miss the meat rooster crowing goings-on, and my Wyandotte that lives with the laying hens hasn't got the lung bellows on him that the others did. So, anyhow, this is not something I'd want or need for my roos, but I'm opening up this for others to weigh in. Even though they claim it is not restrictive, I fear it could be.

I had one. It works sometimes. The main issue is how its put on. Someone i sold a rooster to used one and had it on too tight and the rooster died from it not being used correctly. It just makes the crow softer, but doesnt stop it

I've never heard of them working. I don't think they're that popular.

They have to be monitored while in use. Like any sort of 'harness' it has the potential to get tangled up and injure the bird. Like ME said, it has to be put on correctly too.
