Brother. There's no cable in this area so everyone's on direct tv or so. These direct tv people have driven me crazy. I was supposed to be hooked up by tuesday. The guy comes and says he has to have the county ?? Make sure there are no utility lines in the ground before he puts up a pole. He says the pole out there is no good. So they have to put a new one in. So he says someone will come out on thursday. No one comes out. I call today and they tell me my install was cancelled ?? I said what if you just replace the pole that's there? He says someone still needs to approve it! I guess they are supposedly waiting for me to call someone?? I had enough with them. I called Dish tv. They are coming out monday. Hopefully they'll be smarter about it.
Then, none of us has internet or cell reception. My neighbor tells me buy a cell plan at walmart. After 3 days on the phone, my daughter finally gets it working. I have a cell phone that works. Even better, I have a "hot spot" which is the phone will cover a few people in the house with wifi internet. No difference at all. So I ordered service from Verizon for a real "hot spot" coming with its own phone number. So i'll have good internet. It's been the most frustrating getting all this which I never had to even think about before. It's also tough to put stuff away and can't find it when you need it.

I used to have a big satellite dish when I lived in Georgia. This was before DISH and Direct TV ever came about. I loved the big dish, foul weather didnt effect viewing and there were literally hundreds of free channels that you currently have to pay for on small dish. We had just about every channel imaginable. There were many more movie channels provided as well. It was a channel surfers dream come true. Then, the government decided to convert from analog signals to digital signals. Bye Bye big satellite dishes grrrrr.
