I moved to an area with no cable, no tv, no INTERNET,! We get direct tv today and I'm working on getting a phone today. I needed a walmart phone for straight talk. I'm surrounded by cows and hilly property. THE SHED TO BE COOP WAS SET UP AS A CAT BREEDING SHED! Surprise they all fit no problem for now . It's a miracle. The ride was horrible for me. 14 hours. Never again. Will chat more when I get my cell phone hot' spot hooked up.
Tractor supply and home depot are 3-4 miles. Yeah!

At least it's a good set up for the chickens. They have a heater tonight. Brrr! I have spotty wifi right now and working on a solid connection. It's so nice being near daughter and grandkids. Lucas, 12, wants to spend the night saturday.

Phew, glad you made it there safely! How did the chickens hold up during the trip? Surrounded by cows and hilly property, I envy you. I dont know about the cat breeding shed though. If the floor is cement, most likely there's cat urine absorbed into the concrete. ME is correct, you'll know it when it warms up UGH. I bet the male cats sprayed everywhere too. You can paint the cement floor, it will seal in the smell, never smell it again....maybe spray paint the whole inside of the shed? If it's a dirt floor...sand, alot of sand lol. Thank goodness for TSC and Home Depot! More questions...but I know you're busy, keep in touch.

No odor back there. I don't think it was used for many years. I can't find an outside faucet anywhere! I might have to put one in. There's signs of electric back there but I have to find it. The shed I looked into the first time actually has 3 stalls in it! Glory be!
The drive here was horrible for me since I don't like driving. this area is the most beautiful area I've ever seen! But it's been frigging cold here.
I finally got phone service and wifi for the laptops to get online. I just ordered a "hotspot" that covers my house and 4 users at a time. Still no tv, something about putting a pole in the ground and checking for utilities. So in the meantime I've been listening to any non western station, and I have to admit that I now can tell Katy perry, Taylor swift, gaga, and Adele apart! Oh brother. But I do have an appreciation for them. Now. I ordered new appliances and one new toilet. So now i'll be calling the propane people, someone that can fix some waves in the floor prior to laying pergo. And talk to someone about checking the electric outlets and if there's a line to the shed. And need an outdoor spigot for water.
My daughter has been a great help with everything. I don't know where she gets the energy from. Tomorrow we get to go deal with some doctors and tell them why they don't need a referral to be a patient. My daughter is ready to go to war with them. They are really wasting my time.
And don't get me started on the hub's stuff!

Sounds like you're having adventurous fun Karen! Oh BTW: A 5 gallon bucket works fine for a toilet. Just dont forget the toilet paper! Hahahaha! Been there, done that lol.
