I now have 11 layers and one rooster. He's a silver-laced Wyandotte. Otherwise as far as the females go:
2 silver laced Wyandottes 1 golden laced Wyandotte 2 black Australorpes 3 buff Orpingtons 2 buckeyes 1 hybrid broiler with Australorpe background who was too sweetly-dispositioned to end up in the freezer with the other broilers.
One of the female silver laced Wyandottes has been pecked or whatever on the hind end enough that she was bleeding this morning. I have now separated her out, and she is in my basement (we will get our first killing frost tonight.) The others will be fine in the coop, but I don't want her out with them, or out without the extra warmth of other birds around her.
She's not happy in the basement. Unfortunately, until she heals up I think she'll be less happy out with her peers.

Anyway, plain neosporin for a day or so then blukote to 'disguise' the area. I would try to get her back with the others fairly soon otherwise they may pick on her b/c she's been away. Any ideas on the culprit??
