Hubs went to get scratch and all flock. But came back with flock raiser. So he left the scratch and drove the rest back. In the meantime, I refill some bowls with the last of the feed I have and put some scratch on top of it. Later I notice it's got bugs in it. Those little bugs. I watched the old feed and the scratch to make sure I knew where the bugs were coming from. The feed. So everyone's bowl got emptied into the garbage and washed. Hubs came back with fresh feed. All is well.
The feed had been bought locally because I didn't have time to run to the high turnover feed store. Goes to show me yes, that's why I go farther to the bigger place. The turnover is high. And this local place , well, their feed must sit longer .

You're right Karen, I've run into that problem too. Another problem is that lazy workers dont rotate their products neither. I worked at the base commissary at Kings Bay for 8 years and rotating products is a must.

Yea it should be first in first out. The good place moves feed fast and has it in a big warehouse type building. The "buggy" place has slower turnover and stores their grain in a tractor trailer type trailer that must heat up like crazy in the sun and have no air movement.
