How are each of your breeds doing? Anything interesting?

Two of the three Speckled Sussex's are loud squawkers, geez. The EE laid another nice light blue egg, bigger too. The Jersey Giant is quiet and easy going and abit bigger than the rest of the hens. I know she's got more growing to do. The Light Brahma is smart, comes when she's called. She's a runner and is up for top hen in the pecking order with one of the SS's. The RIR is at the bottom of the pecking order from what I can tell. They are all doing great. The EE has been making her own nests though, not using the nest boxes. I might have to put some plywood down on top of the bedding to prevent her making nests and forcing her to use the nesting boxes. thanks for asking!

Just interested in your newer endeavor into multi breeds and how you see they differ. Those hens with the chocolate covered eggs would be nice as well.

I put golf balls in my nesting boxes for my ees as they did the same as yours.

After I got back from fishing today and putting everything away, I looked inside the coop and lo and behold my EE laid an egg in the nesting box! She must be a mind reader lol.
