So, I lost my little late guy. He was pretty far along but still had a little yolk unabsorbed. He never internally pipped.
BUT, my little unknown age sinker egg has pipped! Im freaking out! I heard a peep too! Even the guys who have been rolling their eyes at me are watching too now. I have no idea what kind of egg it is. Could be crested, rir, brahma, sexlink or buff orpington. Dad is the polish crested more than likely. Will update if anyones interested.

Me too! I can see him in there. He has made the crack a little bigger. The shell is broken but the membrane looks still intact. Can he get air through that? What do I watch for in case of the membrane drying out? My humidity is between 65 and 70. Working hard to keep it that high and know im going to be up most of the night. I am so worried about him. Once hes out what does the humidity need to be for him to dry out? Hes the only one so I dont have to keep it high for others hatching. Thanks in advance

I know sometimes bad things just happen even if we do everything right. Mothernature has her own plans and we are just along for the ride. Ihope the rest of yours are all ok. I just added 12 more eggs to my bator. I thought the one hatching was dead so i was starting over. Surprise!

Sorry you lost your little guy. With the one that pipped, they can take a very long break after that. Yes you can post pics here but I haven't checked it out yet.

On your post, click on "reply" and a page comes up and on the upper right corner it says "add attachment" , click on that and it takes you to your computer files to pick a picture.

I clicked on the reply in the top and bottom. Neither have an ad attatchment. Do I need a minimum of posts? There is a small hole now and we can see him moving around. I hear an occasional peep too. I just wss going to add a pick of the egg but its not really that exciting for you guys im sure lol

Dont open the incubator now that he pipped a hole in the egg as that will dry out the membrane. Just let him hatch on his own. It can take up to 24 hrs after they break the hole in the egg

Click on reply, not quick reply. In the upper left corner you get an "add attachment". It goes to your computer files. Click on a picture and click on "open" at the bottom of that page. It should show up in your post. You can write something after the picture's there.
If you're taking pics from a website album, click on the picture on the top choices that has a scene. Then you can copy and paste the http address.

I see a drop doen that says navigation and the home and other choices. I am clicking the green replt at the top of the thread. Id put up a screenshot but....yea. So, she is out! She didnt even zip all the way around, she was done with that egg! Shes peepin and trying to stand. I cant stop staring at her. I moved her to the brooder as she wasnt drying and since she suprised us I hadnt put the mat down yet. Her poop got in the water and I was worried about her dipping her nose in it. The holes in the floor are huge and the water high so I thin shes safer. My kids are bringing 2 chicks ro keep her company in a couple hours. Shes a light brown with lighter spots. As soon as I get smart and figure pics out I will post some.

Okay so here's what I figured out lol, when you click reply and do the add attachment and all of that, it appears like the picture didn't get added to the post but once you actually post, the picture shows up, so even thought I thought my picture didn't get in the post above, it did! Kind of a weird thing but, at least I figured it out
