A "man" who's doctor wrote him some prescriptions for hormonal medications that would give him/her more womanly physical characteristics had his prescriptions refused to be filled by a pharmacist . The pharmacist also was very loud in asking personal questions to this customer that the customer did not want to reply to in front of a line of people.
The pharmacist then refused to give her prescription back! She had to call her doctor for a new prescription which Walgreens happily filled. The customer called CVS headquarters to complain and making several calls never even got an answer.
So the customer went online to publicize what happened. It accumulated a large following and CVS was "persuaded" to get involved. CVS ended up apologizing, and said the customer's unreturned phone calls were an oversight. The pharmacist got fired. CVS also issued a statement that they highly respect the LBGTC community and happily take care of their LBGTC customers. Blah, blah, blah.
In 5 states including this state that the customer lives, CVS has a policy that an employee does not have to go against their moral beliefs to serve a customer . HOWever their policy states that the employee would have to find a co worker to take care of the customer.
My feeling is that we're going back in time to a place it took many years to make right. There was a time it was perfectly within rights to refuse service to a person of color, make them ride on the back seat of the bus, not use a public drinking fountain, refuse to serve them in restaurants; the list goes on. Now we start again with different victims. But where will it stop? What's next?

WHAT'S NEXT? Evil preaches tolerance until it is dominant, then tries to silence good. Tolerance is the last vestige of a dying society. Vestige is defined as; a trace of something that is disappearing or no longer exists.

We're there now.Now it's acceptable to harass/threaten others with different lifestyles,political/religious beliefs and even encouraged by our "elected officials".And,Lord forbid,if you're a white man in todays society, you're at the top of the hit list. It's really scary watching society disintegrate right before our eyes.I'm still watching those strange, bright lights in the sky and wonder-are they there to help us/hurt us or are they going to start burning down s w Ohio next?Pray and stay aware of your surroundings.

The pharmacist accepted his role when he took the job. CVS apparently asks prospective pharmacists if they have personal beliefs that stand in the way of them dispensing prescriptions of any sort. Apparently this guy lied, or didn't want to find that co-worker to do the job that needed to be done.
Back in the 70's, I was put on the Pill (yes, the birth control pill) when I was something like 17 or 19 years old. Nope, it was not for what everyone thinks, it was for excruciating menstrual cycles. AND it was NOBODY's business why I was prescribed this. (This worked for a few years.)
It would really behoove that pharmacist to MYOB and do his job he signed up for, or find another one.
