Yesterday me, parents, sister and her 2 teens went to the Lucky Dill. It's a NY style sandwich place specializing in Reubens but has about 100 sandwiches to order. However as much as people swoon and praise the place, the sandwiches are outstanding, but the meat is cut thin and layered about 1.5 inches thick. Which means really that no matter what you do, it's dry eating. You can't stuff that much meat in your mouth without it being dry.
I ordered one that was a brisket and smoked turkey sandwich with bacon, sautéed onions, tomato, lettuce, and swiss with au juice on the side. The taste was phenomenal. But still dry. So I'm not a big fan of mile high sandwiches. I would have to pull the whole thing apart and cover it with thick gravy.
Maybe I'll do the leftovers like that today.

I guess. But it's so dry with meat stacked that high and not really much you can do about it.
We ordered a pizza from a new place yesterday and I swear I've never had a bad pizza but this one the crust was so tough on the outer 2 inches that I could not even get my teeth in it for a bite! Like cardboard. You would think a pizza place would know how to make a crust. Well back to Domino's where we've gotten hand tossed pizzas for 14 years that we eat the crust and everything. The crust is as good as the pizza. Sheesh.
