Ask Sylie for zucchini (wink) Coughsorrysycough lol no need to be sorry! I STILL have 6 HUGE zucchini on my kitchen counter waiting for....at this point in time...to be fed to the chickens. All total this year, I ended up with 72 zucchini. I ONLY HAD 6 DANG PLANTS! Next year I plant 2 plants.

I got HUNDREDS of.... marrows.....that have been through..... Chernobyl nuclear disaster... !!!!!!

I have been up to my ears canning apples - so they have had a ton of apple peelings, squash seeds etc. - they think it's Christmas!

Canning is awesome! You should try it Sem! I can all kinds of things (zucchini and apples this year, corn last year etc).
Boskelli, how many jars did you put up? Are you still in the thick of it?

Boskelli, you do canning? How cool. Yep - used to do a lot, but have cut back in recent years. We have Crabby Blue Elder jelly 6, blueberry/lime jam 6, apple sauce 20, peaches 18, zucchini - pickles 6 and relish 6 and hot pepper jelly 6. That plus all the frozen produce we have put up should keep us quiet for the winter

That's awesome Boskelli! I made zucchini pickles this year too, 14 pints. I also did Apple sauce (8 pints), apple butter (4 pints), tomato sauce (4 quarts), pumpkin puree (so far 4 half pints but have more to do), violet jelly (2 pints) It's a lot of work but it's so great to have this stuff during the winter. I'm glad to know that I'm not the only one that still does canning!
