More pics. 2 ees are hacking. Im closing my flock. As they get sick ill be euthing them. No one out and no one in. No more incubating. Once everyone is gone im disinfecting the coop and everything with ammonia, virkon and oxine.    |

Looking good!!!Don't give up on your flock.With the fan blowing and all your wet weather are probably the reasons they're hacking.It got chilly here and I know I'm blowing my nose so much it's sore.Have you thought about giving them a heat source to help with any chills?Chills are really bad for birds and their bodies can't fight the bad things if they're chilled.Just like when you're sick and chilled,they can't put more feathers on and get another blanket........

Skip the Oxine unless you mix it with citric acid to activate it. Virkon is used by places that have large amounts of livestock or poultry.
I wonder if you can get swab culture tubes from your vet and take swabs of their throats and send them to the lab. It would be much much cheaper. You may want to think about calling Texas A&M because they check chicken stuff and maybe they can test.
The other thing which is more steps would be to send me a bird or culture on lots of ice 2nd day air, and I'll repack on ice and send it to the lab here. It would be $25 for you to me and $25 for me to the lab and $50 for a necropsy. I just think I get more thorough testing with this lab and everything is included. I can send you a copy of my results and see what you think -if $100 gets you more for your money. Those prices are for a bird.
It would be a lot less for just testing secretions and your lab would be okay for that I guess.
